How to Upgrade TailScale on ANY GL.iNet Router

In this video we will use the below command to upgrade our GL.iNet travel router to the latest version:
wget -q https://get.admon.me/tailscale -O update-tailscale.sh ; sh update-tailscale.sh
Steps To Get Started
- Plug your GL.iNet router into Power
- Plug in an internet connection
- Login via the GUI usually at IP address (192.168.50.1) or you can check the sticker on the bottom of your router
- Then go to System / General on the far left. Ensure SSH is turned on and set to port 22 under "Access Control" section
- Open up a terminal on your computer and login to your router with the following command:
ssh root@192.168.50.1
- Type yes and then enter if this is your first time SSHing into your GL.iNet router.
- Then type the same password you used to login to the GUI earlier.
- paste the below command into the CLI then press enter.
wget -q https://get.admon.me/tailscale -O update-tailscale.sh ; sh update-tailscale.sh
- "Do you want to enable TailScale SSH" type "N" then press enter
- "Do you want to make the installation permanent" type "Y" then enter
That is it, you are on the latest version of TailScale!
Checking Your TailScale version
Use the below command to verify what version of TailScale your GL.iNet router is on:
tailscale --version
